NATIONAL PARKS NEAR KANGAROO ISLAND - Just 15 minutes from Wirrina Cove Caravan Park & Camping Grounds, Deep Creek Conservation Park overlooks Kangaroo Island through Back Stairs Passage and the Ferry crossing. Visitors to the park can go bushwalking on an extensive network of trails. Covering some 4,500 ha, the park is the largest remaining block of wildlife habitat on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

HMAS HOBART is scuttled just off Wirrina cove. Divers and Campers utilise Wirrina Cove Caravan Park as a platform and base for diving the Hobart.

The HMAS Hobart Memorial site is situated at Lady Bay. Overlooking the fantastic rugged coastline the Memorial site is visited by veterans annually. Wirrina Cove Resort has a function room named after the Hobart in honour of the naval personnel that served on destroyer.

BUSHWALKING - The Tribjilki trail meanders through the coastline of Wirrina Cove Resort. Wirrina Cove is situated between Normanville, Yankalilla, Second Valley, and above Marina St Vincent on the Fleurieu peninsula. The area is graced with plenty of Kangaroo's and other wildlife.

LEAFY SEA DRAGON - The leafy sea dragon is South Australia's marine emblem, and is native to this part of the world. The best viewing locations for this unique creature are just near Wirrina Cove at the Second Valley and Rapid Bay jetties. Many more ocean wonders are easily accessible from St Vincents Marina boat ramp, one of the premier fishing and boating destinations.

MCLAREN VALE WINERIES - Home to fantastic wine, food and hospitality, McLaren Vale is the gateway to the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula. McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s renowned wine regions, famous for producing some the best wines in the world, and with over 76 cellar doors. The region is thriving, and the energy and passion of the local community is infectious. McLaren Vale is approximately 50km from Wirrina Cove Caravan Park.

VICTOR HARBOUR - It is approximately 40 minutes drive to Victor Harbour and attractions  like Granite Island, the Whale Centre and Victor Harbour's Horse Drawn Tram. 

CAPE JERVIS - We are just 20 klms from the Sealink Ferry terminal at Cape Jervis that overlooks Penneshaw, American River and Kingscote on a clear day. The Sealink Ferry terminal is the main access point for vistiors to Kangaroo Island.
