Walking Trails
The TJILBRUKE TRAIL stretches along the coast from MARINO ROCKS to CAPE JERVIS Ferry Terminal car park.
One section of TJILBRUKE TRAIL walked by the KAURNA tribe is situated wholly on the Wirrina Cove Estate. It is known as the KAURNA TRAIL
Walk 1 - The Kaurna Trail
Its starts from a Plaque situated on the resort at the main RECEPTION area, this being your 1st point of call:
- It takes you down to the caravan park
- Through and up the hillside,
- Over to the cliff face, along the coastline to the “PICNIC AREA”,
- Meanders back around the trees,
- Following the fence line back to the far end of the CARAVAN PARK.
You will see spectacular views of the coast from Carrickalinga to Second Valley, honeyeaters, Wattle & Mynah birds to name a few.
The trail is a beginners standard with a challenging incline 10 markers along the way to insure you are still on track.

Walk 2 - Scenic Trail
The Scenic Trail is a casual walk – YELLOW markers - Approx 1 ½ hours
- Start at KAURNA Rock (reception) towards convention centre
- Turn left after convention centre,
- Follow to road intersection
- Follow the road to the boat ramp/marina
- From the boat ramp, return up the path you came,
- Turn right up the track/pathway top the reservoir
- From lookout parking areas follow the road up the rise into the GOLF COURSE
- Follow through golf course to the tennis courts
- Walk along the track through the trees, passing the new water treatment plant.
- When you reach the bitumen, walk back to the KAURNA Rock.
Don't Forget to Take:
- Sound walking shoes,
- Sunglasses
- A hat
- Sunscreen
- Fluids.
- Time – for a leisurely walk
